WHat next?
Elopements are no longer that taboo topic of running off to get married hastily or secretly. An elopement to its core is about a couple committing their lives to each other in an intimate and intentional ceremony in a way that feels special to them.

So you want to elope?
Maybe you've seen the breathtaking and award winning images of a couple on a mountain top in their wedding attire or climbing the face of rock. Those images were only PART of the elopement experience that might encompass a whole day of activities. When choosing to elope, you are choosing to put yourselves first and throwing out that any obligations and expectations that others might have about what your wedding should look like.
Couples choose to elope for all sorts of reasons:
- Maybe traditions are not for you and you and your partner are looking to truly have your wedding day centered around the two of you
- As adventurous souls you want your wedding day to reflect those bad-ass experiences you like to take together and scale that mountain at sunrise on your wedding day
- Maybe you are looking to have a quiet and intentional ceremony with just your closest people surrounding you in the desert during sunset
All of these are valid reasons to elope. So, now you're thinking that eloping is the right thing for you...
First let me say that going against tradition is not the easiest thing to do, but planning a wedding that is authentic and intentional for you... now that is seriously so special. Just because an elopement is not as 'big' as a traditional wedding does not make it any less important or real. When we think of traditional weddings, we think of two people standing in front of 100+ guests at a beautiful venue and then a big celebration afterwards. Elopements and Intimate Weddings can be just as 'big' but in a totally different day. As an adventure elopement photographer, let me tell you just some of the things that you can incorporate to your elopement day.
Imagine your perfect day... What does that include? Where would you want to go? Your elopement experience can consist of ANYTHING you want to do on your wedding day like:
- Morning coffee and breakfast with your partner at your secluded Airbnb
- Hiking your favorite mountain and saying your vows at the summit during the golden hour glow
- Taking a Jeep tour through the red rocks of Sedona, just taking in the sights
- Having a picnic for just the two of you, soaking up the sun and enjoying each other's company
- Take a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and say your vows at sunset at the canyon edge
Those are just a couple of the endless ideas that could be apart of your adventure elopement day. At the end of the day, you could really do anything that feels authentic to you and your partner. As an elopement photographer, I am here to help you plan logistics, like permits or location scouting, and to be your biggest hype-woman throughout this process.
